Autumn Newsletter 2025

Greetings members,

This year there were 168 memberships with the Club. There are no berths currently available. Any person with a boat wishing to join will have to go on the waiting list. Non-boat owning members are welcome.

Fishing Competition: The fishing competition at the end of the season was a success. We had winners in both the junior and senior categories; details are on the Club website at this link. Prizes were sponsored by Open Season. We are already planning an additional early competition for the upcoming season.

Trailers: All trailers must clearly have the owner’s details, or berth number so that they are identifiable by the Club. If trailers are left on Club property and are not identifiable by the next committee meeting, the Committee will dispose of them.

Winter berth. It is against the Club’s rules for members to give their inside berth to anyone for the winter without permission from the Club. Please contact Alan Finch on 086 856 3985

The AGM will be held in early spring of 2026, date to be determined. A notice will be circulated by post in the new year with details for the AGM.

Membership payments in 2026 We will no longer be accepting cash payment for membership/fees moving forward. We are investigating options in addition to bank transfer payments for the new year. More details will follow in the spring.

Member details Members are asked to update the Club Secretary with mobile numbers and email addresses to keep our records up to date. We will be creating a WhatsApp group for notifications only. Please contact the Club Secretary if you do not wish to be included in the WhatsApp group, otherwise we will presume you are happy to be included in the group.

Bernard Chadwick It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear colleague, friend and former Treasurer, Bernard Chadwick. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and we would like to acknowledge his tremendous dedication to the Nenagh Boat Club. May He Rest in Peace. The Club, Committee and Members have had their share of loss this year, our condolences to you and your loved ones at this sad time.
